Benefits of membership

Membership of ICOMOS-UK provides a unique opportunity to engage with practitioners working in the field of heritage conservation and management. It provides a platform for debate about the value of heritage in and for contemporary society, for professionals and those with more general interest. Its focus is both national and international, and its work embraces the relationship between the two. Members are encouraged to become actively involved in its work at all levels, and to contribute – and enhance – their own expertise through contributions to research, learning and training, and policy development.

Benefits include:

  • free or reduced admission to some museums, galleries and monuments in some countries through the ICOMOS Membership Card
  • special membership rates for ICOMOS-UK conferences, seminars and events
  • an ICOMOS-UK newsletter
  • automatic membership of ICOMOS, receipt of the ICOMOS Newsletter and use of ICOMOS Documentation Centre in Paris.

Some of these benefits are not available to Student Members – full details are given on the application form. Membership offers students access to a network of advice and professional thinking at an early stage in their careers, to formal training, and informal professional development.
